Wednesday 4th September - Club Night 7.30pm A dirt bike adventure in Australia with Brendan Attrill. From Alice Springs to Birdsville and back, 1820km through the Simpson Desert. This was Brendans third trip through the Simpson. Sunday 8th September - Bike ride with Wietze and Rae Huatoki - Te Henui Leader: Rae 027 937 7355 Friday 13th - Sunday 15th September - Ohakune Weekend Mountain biking, walking, skiing, whatever the weather allows. As a matter of interest the club has had an annual weekend to Ozzies since 1997, firstly as a ladies ski weekend, then a club weekend. Contact: Marilyn 027 668 8999 Saturday 21st September - Annual At Home Dinner To be held at the Hawera Club 6pm onwards. Sunday 29th September - Mystery Walk, NP with Bazza G Meeting at Huatoki Tennis Courts at 9.30am. Where to? A Pukeko Haven, a portly view, a swing for Al, and a climb for Jan, a silica stroll, a stumble exit, a caravan or two, an eagle or 2 too, a lake walk that never ends, a kauri or 2 or 3, a bridge afar and an essential loo, and lunch at noon. Now Saturday 12th October - McCluggages Tunnel Whangamomona Saddle Bring a torch. Tunnel, wetas, maybe glow worms? Leader: Jim 027 444 9190 Friday 25th - Monday 28th October - Ruatiti and Blue Duck Station Mountain biking, walking, campervans and tents. Contact: Jan 027 418 2429 Sunday 3rd November - Bike Ride Tangahoe Valley Road 36kms return, reasonably easy (on an ebike) options for a shorter bike or walk. Lunch at the ski club beside the lake. Saturday 16th November - Herb Fields with David S Leader: David 027 209 9375 Sunday 1st December - Meremere Track to the Dam Those that don't want to do the big walk, meet at the Dam (Ball Road) for a short walk and lunch and to ferry the walkers back to Hawera.
