Mount Egmont Alpine Club is based in Hawera, South Taranaki and offers tramping, climbing, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing, caving, search & rescue, instruction, and more...! We organise trips every 2nd weekend and have our own hut on Egmont - Kapuni Lodge

Club nights are the first Wednesday of each month at the MEAC Clubrooms, Hicks Park, Hawera.

We cater for all ages and fitness levels and our focus is Mt Egmont, Eastern Taranaki, Central North Island, and beyond...

We Engage in All Outdoor Activities

While we call ourselves an 'Alpine' Club, nowadays we engage in ALL outdoor activities,  the bulk of which are day walks and over-night weekend tramps. 
People of all ages and fitness levels are catered for.
Many activities are suitable for families with school age children.
