Leader: Bruce Finer 027 205 2059 Wednesday 4th March - Club Night Bev Prankerd sharing her adventures on Wrangel Island. We enjoyed Bev's last arctic adventure. She visited Wrangel Island a few years ago, polar bears and more. 7.30pm Saturday 7th March - Monday 9th March - Taranaki Anniversary Weekend - Ruatiti Domain Opportunities for camping, tenting, biking, relaxing. Leader: David McNair 027 249 2226 Saturday 28th March - Khyber Pass A reasonable level of fitness required for this trip. Leader: David Sattler 027 209 9375 Wednesday 1st April - AGM 7.30pm Please consider becoming more involved in the committee, our committee table has more seats to fill. We are urgently seeking a new treasurer, Marilyn Finer has held this role for many years and is retiring. Sunday 12th April - Crams Wetlands revisit Combined with a latte walk. Cancelled - Saturday 18th April - Overnight at Tahurangi A shared dinner party with TAC. This will be a pot-luck dinner at Tahurangi Lodge from 4.00pm. Free overnight stay and then join us on Sunday for a trot on the mountain. Contact: Al Barkla 027 618 9002 Saturday 2nd or Sunday 3rd May - Stratford Heritage Walkway Still to be confirmed by Jacob Leader: Jacob Maddren 027 499 9096 Wednesday 6th May - Club Night Join Ian McAlpine who has had many great adventures in the outdoors. 7.30pm Sunday 24th May - Rotokare Scenic Reserve A quiet ramble around the lake bird listening, hopefully Andrea will be able to join us. Contact: Jan Fleming 027 418 2429 Wednesday 3rd June - Club Night Dave Rogers, recently retired senior DOC ranger will be our guest speaker. 7.30pm. Saturday 6th June - Matapeka Falls Join Nick Kemp on an adventure to the beautiful Matapeka Falls, this trip will start from the Mohakatino Road end. There may be a river crossing so bring sandals if you don't want to get your boots wet. Trip is weather dependent, if not suitable there may be an option to visit the Whitecliffs Walkway. $20 - $25 fuel cost. Contact: Nick 027 589 5898 Saturday 20th June - A mountain ramble with David Sattler Walk from the Stratford Mountain House and up the Enchanted walk and down to the Waingongoro Hut. From there back across to the Mountain House with a side visit to the prospecting tunnel along the way, bring a headlamp. Most likely a refreshment stop at the Mountain House when we finish.
